A bird.

Winona Weber 00:06
What do you remember about-about the times you spent-- What-what would you do when-when
you--

Geraldine George Underwood 00:12
As I said, in the summertime, we swam.

Winona Weber 00:16
Uh-huh.

Geraldine George Underwood 00:16
We picked berries, we--well, we played in the hayloft, we'd [laughs]-- we'd--

Winona Weber 00:23
Uh-huh.

Geraldine George Underwood 00:23
--run, and you know stuff like that. And we'd play games, played out on the beach most of the
time, [inaudible].

Winona Weber 00:32
[Laughs.] Are there any specific times that-that-that stick out in your mind when you think of--
you know, when you--when you were with mom and Thelma and them?

Geraldine George Underwood 00:40
Not really.

Winona Weber 00:50

Geraldine George Underwood 00:55
We--

Winona Weber 00:57
Did you go to Peacock Spit?

Geraldine George Underwood 01:01
Yeah, we were there.

Winona Weber 01:02
Uh-huh. What do you remember about that?

Geraldine George Underwood 01:10
Pretty young, [chuckles] but I know we were there. I'm--

Winona Weber 01:13
Yeah.

Geraldine George Underwood 01:14
But I remember one time, we found a dead man with a whole bunch of money.

Winona Weber 01:23
Oh, really?

Geraldine George Underwood 01:23
A lot of money fell. I don't know what it was, and we didn't know what it was. And we were
playing with money cause we never knew what money was. [Chuckles, person walking.] And
there we are. So we come back and told them, and they wanted to know where we got this guy.
We didn't even know he was dead. [Quiet talking, possibly from a man.]

Winona Weber 01:44
Oh, no, really?

Geraldine George Underwood 01:45
There there's some downstairs, too. Frenchie, there's some downstairs. [Frenchie responds.
People talking. Birds chirping. Recorder clicking.] In the car. Frenchy!? [Recorder shifts.]

Winona Weber 02:21
Did you--did you eat a lot of smoked fish when you were growing up?

Geraldine George Underwood 02:29
Oh. [Emma?] used to smoke fish. She even smoked her own ham!

Winona Weber 02:34
Really?

Geraldine George Underwood 02:34
[Inaudible, they laugh.] Mhm. She--

Winona Weber 02:45
What kind of-of things did your mother teach you?

Unknown speaker 02:48
Do I have to go [inaudible] out back? [Recorder cuts off.]
